Hi, I'm Jacinta - the 'Jacinta' in 'Just Hitched by Jacinta'. I'm a regular suburban mum of three kids and two fluffy dogs named Billy and Posie. I'm honest, reliable and sometimes pretty funny. You guessed it... I love weddings! They are such a happy occasion, who wouldn't want to immerse themselves in that environment.

Outside of weddings, I love keeping active, catching up with friends and chilling with my family. My hidden talent would be my ability to handstand walk. I have a slight addiction to peanut butter brownies, and my Hubby is a vintage car enthusiast. I am by nature ambitious, organised and stubborn (a typical Taurean). 

I create personal, relaxed and stylish ceremonies 7 days a week. I am Brisbane based and more than happy to travel to the Sunny Coast, Gold Coast and around the Scenic Rim.

My biggest point of difference is I only commit to one full ceremony per day, and no more than 45 ceremonies per year. Why? So I can give every single one of my couples the time and attention to detail they deserve, with out burnout.

My style of ceremony is a modern take on a traditional ceremony with a light - hearted splash of fun. I really aim for a relaxed vibe with no boring bits. Let’s laugh together, cry together and everything in between. I love nothing more than getting to know each and everyone of my couples and weaving their unique story into every ceremony.

The LEGAL ONLY Hitch

  • You bring the 2 witnesses and we say the 120 legal words

  • N/A Fri/Sat/Sun after 11am

What happens Next?

 
 

First - Let's meet for coffee or wine or a stiff G & T cause that's how I roll. 

Once we have caught up either in person, skype or face time if you get all the right feels and we click then lets get this show rolling.

First you will need to pay a non-refundable deposit, this will lock your date in my diary and the day will be solely yours!

We will set up a meeting time to get all the legal paperwork underway. We will also start piecing together some elements of your ceremony. I start with a questionnaire and we will discuss at length some unique ways to get your ceremony to reflect you both perfectly. 

I will then send you all of my latest resources including tunes, fun readings, vow examples, and fun ways to include the guests in your ceremony. I also send you out a questionnaire to fill in at home. This is the one I love to read as it gives me all the juice to start writing your ceremony.

From here I will send you out a draft (it's all colour coded because that's how my brain works) and we can edit to your hearts content!

If you would like a rehearsal or a final planning meeting then lets do it! I want you to feel 100% comfortable with how the day is likely to roll. 

Drum roll........ Your big day. I will perform your ceremony with all I've got. By this time I am wetting my pants with excitement to do this. I will arrive 30 mins prior with my state of the art PA system charged and ready.

Lastly, I will send in all the legal paperwork on your behalf.

Q. How Quickly can I get married? You must provide one months notice to be legally married in Australia. Here’s the form you need to lodge with your celebrant. Notice of Intended Marriage.

Q. What is the cost of a celebrant. Well that varies considerably. As a rough guide a ceremony at the registry office costs between $384.10 - $658.50. A celebrant that will personalise your ceremony, travel to your chosen destination and bend over backwards for you - Priceless!

Q. Can a friend perform the ceremony and a celebrant step in for the legal components. Yes, that can be arranged with your celebrant. Hot tip - this will not save you money!

Q. Will my celebrant apply for my official certificate of marriage from Births, Deaths and Marriages? I definitely offer this if you want it. If you choose not to that’s cool too. Here is the link to apply for one. Applying for your Marriage Certificate through Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Q. Where do I travel to? I am up for almost everything (ok no naked weddings and please don’t ask me to sing) I will travel from Byron Bay to Noosa and out to Toowoomba.
